About Find The Needle Wiki

Find The Needle Wiki is an independent, single-game reference for Find The Needle, the first-person haystack-digging and factory-automation game from Needless Games. The Steam App ID is 5160800. The game entered Early Access on November 6, 2026, for Windows PC, and is designed for one player.

This is not a general gaming site and it is not a Roblox site. It exists to answer the questions that come up while playing this specific Steam build: how the opening loop works, what to sell first, when automation pays for itself, how conveyors and machines connect, how long the 24-needle hunt takes, and what the Early Access roadmap does and does not promise.

Three games share this name space

Search results for “find the needle” mix three unrelated things. We keep them separate on purpose.

  • Find The Needle (this site): Needless Games, Steam App ID 5160800, Windows, single-player, Early Access from November 6, 2026. A six-million-strand haystack, 24 needles, and a factory built from conveyors, balers, scanners and production machines.
  • Needle In A Haystack Simulator: a separate game from Nas, announced in August 2026 for Q4 2026, with a five-million-strand pile and eight-player co-op. Different developer, different release, different feature set. We compare the two on the comparison page.
  • The Roblox experience also called “Find The Needle”: unrelated. It uses its own codes and redeem system. We do not publish Roblox codes, and nothing here should be applied to that game.

How the pages are sourced

Pre-release pages are built from the official Steam store listing (appdetails for App ID 5160800), the public demo (App ID 5165210), Needless Games’ Steam announcements, and the screenshots and trailer published by the developer. When a number is not public — most importantly the price before launch — the page says so instead of estimating. When a page relies on the demo rather than the full Early Access build, it says that near the top.

After launch, pages are rechecked against the live build and the store page. Corrections are dated. We do not silently change a recommendation when a patch moves the economy; the old claim is removed and the new one is explained.

What you will not find here

No Roblox codes, no invented item prices, no fake “best build” tables, no claims of co-op or multiplayer (the official Steam categories list single-player only), and no pirate or cheat downloads. If a mechanic has not been shown in the demo or described by the developer, it is labelled as unconfirmed rather than presented as fact.
